The Vietnam War: Getting There

SMSU Professor Jeff Kolnick will provide an overview on the background of the war, with an introduction to the key players and countries. We will show a segment of Episode 101 of the PBS series The Vietnam War, a film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, as part of his presentation.

Please be advised that the film and affiliated programming may contain materials that can be difficult for veterans and survivors of war. The film series also contains profanity, brief nudity, and graphic violence, and is rated TV/MA.
