Drive-In Movie Night
August 28, 2020 @ 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Movie night returns, drive-in style!
With the support of the Plum Creek Library System and the residents of Minnesota, we will be hosting a drive-in movie in the Marshall library parking lot on Friday, August 28th. We will be showing How To Train Your Dragon (2010, PG, 1 hr 38 min). The event begins at 8:30 pm to ensure sufficient darkness to see the screen.
Due to license restrictions and to ensure sightlines to the screen, space is limited. Some spots are by registration only. Additional spots will be available starting at 8:20 pm on a first come, first served basis. If there is a cone in front of the entrance to the parking lot, the event is full.
Click here to register to reserve a spot here! If registration has closed, you may still be able to attend if spaces are available at 8:20 pm. If everything is full, don’t worry: we plan to hold several of these drive-ins throughout the summer!
This is an in-vehicle event: you will use your car radio to tune in to the audio of the movie.
Because equipment must run outdoors, this event is subject to cancellation/postponement due to weather. If, by 4 pm on Friday, the National Weather Service forecasts the chance of rain to be 40% or above during the event, the event will be postponed. Check the forecast here. Announcements will be made on social media, this website, and on Marshall Radio. Rain dates: Saturday, August 29th or Sunday, August 30th.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
